What is winter cold?
Cold is caused by a virus. Over 200 types of viruses are responsible for this disease, but Rhinovirus is the most common type of disease. 50% is thought to be responsible for cold cases. Coronavirus, respiratory serious virus influenza and parainfluenza are some other such viruses that can cause cold.
How the cold start?
This disease can be from people who are already infected with this virus. From having a physical relationship with any person who is already cold or touching the surface which is contaminated with this virus such as computer keyboard door lid or spoon, or by touching someone’s nose or face Contaminated with this virus. Cold can be caught by some infected virus in the air and via someone else’s breathe.
Winter cold occurs when a virus gets attached to your nose or throat lining. Your body’s immune system protects against these microbes and sends white blood cells to attack these microbes. If you have not been infected before this virus, your immune system is not ready to fight against it. For this reason your nose and throat swelling and mucus becomes. You may not feel like this but your body’s energy is spent in fighting cold virus, due to which you feel tired.
A myth that needs to be exposed – due to cold or wetting, you do not get sick. However, due to these, the chances of colds are definitely increased. The truth is that the likelihood of getting Jukaam increases when you are too tired, in emotional stress or you are allergic to neck or nose.
Because common colds can be caused by many different viruses, the progress and severity of its symptoms vary in every individual. Typically, two to three days after the infection, it is likely to develop symptoms.
It may also be that in some individuals, its symptoms are very light, while some other person may have serious symptoms. The types of symptoms of cold are also different. Some individuals may only have mucus congestion in the nose, while others may have all these symptoms. Which symptoms develop, depends on the underlying health of the infected person.
In most people, cold gets cured after seven to ten days, although some individuals may get more or less time to recover. Again it depends on the type of virus that caused the infection and the underlying health of the patient as well.

Why is winter cold?
Winter cold is a common disease in the upper respiratory system. Cough occurs when you breathe in the air infected with viruses that are infected by the sneezing, coughing, or speech of the infected person, from their nose and with breath, the virus goes inside our body. You have been infected by these infected items such as the door latch, telephone, children’s toys, and towels which touched the infected person. Those things can also be infected by touching. Rhinovirus (which is the most common cause of cold cough) can survive on a strong surface or even for 3 hours.
Most viruses have been classified into one of several groups. These groups include:
- Human rhinovirus
- Parainfluenza virus
Some other common viruses that cause cold cough have been selected separately, such as respiratory syncytial virus. But there are still some other viruses which have not yet been recognized by modern science.

Germ cloth can remain on towels for several hours. Alternatively, there should be a separate towel for each family member and separate a clean towel for the guest.
8.) Throw tissue paper thoroughly after use, because tissue paper used, the surface you keep on it becomes contaminated and can cause the source of the virus.
9.) Maintain a healthy lifestyle
However, it is difficult to say that due to good food or exercise cold winter can be prevented, but your immune system will be able to fight better than healthy lifestyle (adequate sleep, swasth nutrition, exercise).

Studies have shown that in the people experiencing emotional stress, the immune system becomes weak and people more stressed are more prone to cold than those who are stressless.

Risks and complications of winter colds
There are several risk factors that increase the risk of common cold, some of which are given below:
1.) Age between infants and young children is more likely to cause common cold cough because immune system is not fully developed at the age of children, which can completely eliminate this prohibited virus.
2.) Seasonal diversity Some people see it during their symptoms, winter or rainy season (in the hot months), and usually they cough cold during this season. This is because people prefer to stay indoors during this season and keep coming in contact with each other because they are close to each other.
3.) Weak immune systems, due to the weakened immune system in some people, are also more prone to normal cold. Besides, excessive fatigue or those who have more emotional distress in their mind, are more likely to have normal cold cough.
